Is a Custom Climb Right for You?
There are many good reasons to go on a private, custom expedition. We've taken groups of friends and families on custom climbs, climbers with specific time constraints and climbers who want to climb a specific route or peak.
By limiting the group size, you gain a lot more flexibility as far as scheduling a trip and we can tailor your expedition to meet your expectations. We have seen an increase in climbers' desires for more personalized expeditions in the last few years. The growing number of climbers who come back year after year for private trips tells us that we must be doing a pretty good job of taking care of them.
If you or you and a group of friends want to do a climb,
just let us know and we can organize a trip for you.
We can do any length trip, from a one day climb to a multi
week expedition. Some of our more popular private trips involve
going into areas like the Ruth Glacier or Little
Switzerland to climb technical rock and ice routes or simply for some ski touring and exploring.
We also organize many custom Denali expeditions each season. If you are interested in doing a private climb, please contact us to make
arrangements well in advance.
Private Technical
Climbs
Mountain Trip began guiding technical climbs
in the late 1970's in the Ruth Glacier, leading the first
ascent of Mt Johnson and routes on many other peaks, including Mooses Tooth, Mt Foraker, Mt Hunter, Mt Russell, Mt Deborah. Mountain Trip has also led numerous routes on Denali
such as the Northwest Buttress, the Cassin Ridge, the West Rib, the West Buttress Direct and the South Buttress.
We continue to offer technical climbs almost every year and
are always looking for a new peak to climb. These climbs are
for experienced climbers only. Party size is limited, so please
contact us well in advance of the season. Most technical climbs
are made via private arrangements. We are climbers who are passionate about being in the mountains and love to share these wild places with other climbers.
During our 2007 season, we had small teams go in to the West Ridge of Mount Hunter, Ham and Eggs on The Mooses Tooth, and to the Sultana Ridge on Mount Foraker. In 2008 we were on Peak 11,300, Mooses Tooth and attempted the Cassin Ridge on Denali. We also recently led one of the few ascents ever of the West Buttress Direct, a technical variation to the West Buttress on Denali. Give us a ring if you're interested. Let's go climbing!
