MOUNTAIN TRIP HIMALAYA'S
2008
EVEREST EXPEDITION
We are excited to announce another expedition to Mount Everest. We are bringing our small company philosophy, great service, and experience to the highest mountain in the world. Last year's climb was a resounding success with our entire team making the summit on May 20, 2007. The team consisted of Ryan Campbell, guide and expedition leader, Sam Kay, Russ Lamb, Pa Nuru Sherpa and Phu Nuru Sherpa. We are bringing this same philosophy of unparalleled support back to the mountain again this year.
. This means we can offer you the best of both worlds: the support and logistical capabilities of a larger expedition and the flexibility of being able to climb at your own speed, with your own personal guide. By matching up climbers of roughly the same speed, we can travel up and down the mountain in smaller, independent groups instead of in the unwieldly teams of 12 that are so common on Everest. We provide one western guide and one trained Sherpa guide for every two climbers. Our goal is to safely provide you with the absolute best possible chance to stand on the summit of the world's highest mountain. This includes orchestrating the necessary logistics for a second summit bid if possible.
An ascent of Mount Everest is one of most difficult challenges you will face in your mountaineering career, and it is not to be taken lightly. We are looking for experienced mountaineers who are willing prepare in order to be in top physical condition when they join the team in an attempt to tackle the highest mountain in the world. Climbers should be able to work well with other teammates and be willing to work within the group for weeks at a time. We are giving preference to potential team members who have already been climbed with Mountain Trip or Mountain Trip Himalaya on other expeditions as they have already been evaluated by one of our guides.
