International ClimbsIt's a big world out there! Mountain Trip has been guiding climbers on international expeditions since the early 1980's. With the recent addition of Scott Woolums as our Himalayan Program, we have taken our international offerings to the highest level. We do not try to offer climbs to every conrer of the globe, as we will only offer trips to places where we know that we can offer the absolute highest standards. Please click on a link at right to learn more about our international offerings. Climbers with little or no mountaineering background might consider a trip to Aconcagua in Argentina, Elbrus in Russia or Island Peak in Nepal. Both offer fun cultural experiences with a challenging, yet relatively non-technical mountaineering objective. Seven Summits seekers should definitely speak to us about Carstensz pyramid. Mountain Trip has guided more teams up that mountain than any other western guide service. This beautiful, limestone peak presents a challenging ascent in a bizarre moonscape environment. Unfortunately, the greatest challenges are not posed by the mountain itself, but rather by the multiple layers of governmental and access issues. We have a tremendous depth of experience in these matters. If you ever have the chance to go to Antarctica, you owe it to yourself to do so. Yes, it is an expensive trip, but there is no other place in the world like it. Sell that big RV in the backyard, dip into the kid's college fund, or sell some stocks and treat yourself to one of the most amazing experiences of a lifetime. Sagarmatha, Chomolungma, Mount Everest... To many mountaineers, an ascent of the highest mountain on the planet is the crown of their alpine career. We are pleased to offer one of the most comprehensive and best organized expeditions on the mountain, run under the auspices of five time Everest climber, Scott Woolums.
